MUMBAI: Protestant churches willconduct a campaign to urge the Centre to extend Dalit Christians their rights.Activists from Protestant churches, grouped under the National Council of Churches in India (NCCI), will conduct awareness programmes in the city. Secretary of the Maharashtra Council of Churches, Rev Victor Gollapalli said they would meet the people in power to apprise them of the needs of Dalit Christians for their rights, which include reservations in government jobs and other services. Gollapalli said that their counterparts are takingpart in a hunger fast in Delhi to press home their point. "We have been joinedby the Catholic Bishops Conference of India (CBCI).
